The purpose of this research is to examine in depth about the factors that affect people's interest to invest in the capital market which is economic literacy, social relationships, attitudes, norms, and locus of control.
To change the society into investment society then the role of society and the knowledge society will be an investment needs to be increased. Lampung society at large still in "saving society" (which community saving) and has not been on the level of "investing society" (community who invest). Of these, it turns out that the financial services sector have not entirely known well by the people of Lampung, including capital market industry. The number of investors is also very little when compared to the total population of Bandar Lampung that reached 8 million. This figure when compared to the potential, as seen from the bank savings in funds reaching Rp28 billion, is certainly very small. The total value of the assets of investors in the capital market of Lampung Province amounted to Rp391 billion. While per November 4, 2014, to the town of Bandar Lampung there rise 13% or as much as 2.115 investor compared to the same month of the previous year which reached only 1,875 investors. Data from PT KSEI shows that communities that Lampung become investors per January until October 2014 total investors as much as 2,959 investors. A large number of Community funds, yet balanced with knowledge of investment to the public capital markets including in Lampung. Based on the data of the Central Bureau of statistics (BPS) the province of Lampung, Lampung Community Fund amount is stored at the Bank in the form of savings, current and deposit per year 2013 recorded around Rp 28 trillion. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Literasi Keuangan, hubungan pertemanan, sikap, dan norma berpengaruh signifikan terhadap minat investasi, sedangkan Kontrol Diri berpengaruh tidak signifikan terhadap minat investasi.The investment was the purchase of capital/capital goods which are not consumed but used to impending production (goods production). Untuk menjawab tujuan penelitian tersebut di gunakan analisis regresi berganda. Sampel penelitian ini adalah masyarakat Lampung yang berinvestasi di pasar modal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji secara mendalam mengenai faktor yang mempengaruhi minat masyarakat untuk berinvestasi di Pasar Modal diantaranya adalah literasi ekonomi, hubungan pertemanan, sikap, norma, dan kontrol diri. Untuk merubah masyarakat menjadi investment society maka peran masyarakat dan pengetahuan masyarakat akan investasi perlu untuk ditingkatkan. Masyarakat Lampung pada umumnya masih berada di “saving society” (masyarakat yang menabung) dan belum berada di tingkatan “investing society” (masyarakat yang berinvestasi).
Dari jumlah investor juga sangat sedikit jika dibandingkan dengan jumlah penduduk Bandar Lampung yang mencapai 8 juta jiwa.Dari jumlah tersebut, ternyata sektor jasa keuangan belum seluruhnya dikenal dengan baik oleh masyarakat Lampung, termasuk industri pasar modal. Angka ini jika dibandingkan dengan potensi yang dilihat dari dana tabungan di bank yang mencapai Rp28 trilyun, tentunya sangat kecil sekali. Total nilai aset investor Provinsi Lampung di pasar modal sebesar Rp391 milyar. Sedangkan per 4 November 2014, untuk kota Bandar Lampung terdapat kenaikan 13% atau sebanyak 2.115 investor dibanding bulan yang sama tahun sebelumnya yang hanya mencapai 1.875 investor.

Banyaknya jumlah dana masyarakat, belum diimbangi dengan pengetahuan investasi untuk masyarakat Lampung termasuk di pasar modal. Berdasarkan data Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Provinsi Lampung, jumlah dana masyarakat Lampung yang tersimpan di Bank dalam bentuk tabungan, giro dan deposito per tahun 2013 tercatat sekitar Rp 28 triliun. Investasi merupakan pembelian dari capital modal barang-barang yang tidak dikonsumsi tetapi digunakan untuk produksi yang akan datang (barang produksi).
